Quality control
Quality is controlled at three points: the raw materials coming in, the process while the product is being made, and the finished goods before they are released.
Quality control on raw materials
Qualified raw materials are the guarantee of qualified products. To assure the safety of our products, we do our utmost for the safety of the raw materials, from the berry base through to incoming inspection at the factory.

Quality control during manufacturing
In 2004 our workshops passed the GMP certification. GMP refers to Good Manufacturing Practice: the production base, the workshops and the processes are planned and executed to GMP standard, so that quality is built in during production rather than only checked at the end.

Laboratory quality control programs
QC programs ensure that the information generated by the laboratory is accurate and reliable. This is achieved through the following:
- Nine QC and QA staff with at least an undergraduate diploma, with long experience of laboratory testing and the GMP quality control programs, retrained internally and externally every year.
- Every product has its own enterprise standard or inner control standard and analysis regulations.
- The laboratory is equipped with first-class analysis devices, and the instruments are inspected regularly by an authorised quality inspection centre to keep them accurate and precise.
- The QC department analyses each batch of incoming materials, semi-finished products, finished products and packing materials to the relevant standard and operation rules, records the results and issues a certificate of analysis.
- For items we cannot test in-house, the sample is sent to a qualified or authorised laboratory for analysis.
